A 24-year-old man who had bipolar disorder died in March 2023 while held at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia. He was found unresponsive in a common area, and surveillance video reported by The Appeal showed another person held there cleaning up vomit near his head before staff found him. The medical examiner concluded that he died of a seizure.
