Thomas Bambrick
Bambrick was electrocuted at Sing Sing prison in Ossining, New York, on October 7, 1916, according to a report from the International News Service. Requests for a reprieve sent to Governor Whitman, some of them almost up to the hour of execution, were rejected. The report says a wire to the head electrode came loose during the first shock, leaving him slumped in the chair, and the executioner had to make repairs before a second shock could be given. A separate newspaper account of the same night describes the reprieve requests and the loose wire in similar terms.
