Stephen Pawlowski, 45, died on June 19, 2021, while held at the Otsego County Jail in Otsego County, New York. The New York Attorney General's Office of Special Investigation, which reviews deaths in which an officer may have played a part, lists his death as a suicide. The state Commission of Correction's Medical Review Board investigated the death and published a report on it.
