Shawndre Delmore
Shawndre Delmore, 24, was held at the Fulton County Jail, where a routine check of his cell found him unresponsive, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and died there on September 3, 2023. The sheriff's office said Atlanta police will investigate and the county medical examiner will perform an autopsy, and no cause or manner of death has been announced. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported he was one of ten people who died in Fulton County Sheriff's Office custody that year, six of them in the five weeks before.
