Samuel Steenbnrgh

Samuel Steenbnrgh was hanged at Fonda, New York, on April 19, 1878, in a judicial execution. Newspaper accounts from the time say the hanging was carried out before several thousand people. Those accounts report the sentence as carried out at Fonda. He was in the custody of the state until the execution.
