Martez Webb
Martez Webb died on November 23, 2018, after a Wayne County deputy shot him inside a medical transport van. He was being taken from an area hospital to the Wayne County Jail when the shooting happened. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office and Undersheriff Daniel Pfannes said Webb gained control of the deputy's gun during a struggle in the van, and that the van's driver helped the deputy recover it. Detroit Police and Michigan State Police are investigating whether policies were followed.
