Donell Pryor
Donell Pryor died in the Wayne County jail in Michigan in 2016. According to a 7 Action News investigation citing jail records, he hanged himself with his belt. Those records show deputies moved him to a cell by himself during jail registration and did not take his belt. The investigation reports that he was alone and unwatched when he used it. The undersheriff said the jail has since required belts to be removed at registration, but the investigation reported seeing another person held there still wearing one.
