Dameon Broussard
Dameon Broussard, 33, died while held at the Jackson County Jail in Jackson, Michigan, on January 30, 2023. His wife, Sandra Broussard, said he loved his family, especially his son and her, and always tried to help other people, and the family said he was due to be released in a couple of months. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said he overdosed on heroin that got into the jail and that he was given 11 doses of Narcan before being taken to the hospital. The family disputes the overdose explanation, and hospital lab tests reportedly found no drugs in his system.
