Zina Fritz
Zina Fritz, 27, died on January 27, 2016, after correction officers at the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta, Maine, found her hanging by a bed sheet in her cell. She was taken by ambulance to MaineGeneral and died on the way, according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office said Fritz had been on special watch for risk of self-harm and was checked every 15 minutes before she was found. Maine State Police and the Attorney General's Office are investigating, and the State Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy.
