Zachary Russell
Zachary Russell, 21, of Cochran, Georgia, was held at the Bleckley County Law Enforcement Center, which houses people from Cochran. On May 25, 2021, Bleckley County detention officers told the sheriff's office that he had a medical emergency around 6:20 p.m., and he was taken to Bleckley Memorial Emergency Room, where he died. Sheriff Kris Coody asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate the death.
