Wylie Lee
Wylie Lee was held in the jail at Chetopa, Kansas, along with another man, John Rishee. According to the Fisherman & Farmer newspaper, published July 13, 1888, a mob took Wylie Lee from the jail and hanged him. He was 'held' there when the mob came for him.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A mob took Wylie Lee from the Chetopa, Kansas jail and hanged him, according to a 1888 newspaper report.
