Willie Emanuel Mason
Willie Emanuel Mason, 21, of East Moline, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Clinton County Jail on December 28, 2025. He was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where he was pronounced dead on December 30. Sheriff Bill Greenwalt said the apparent manner of death was consistent with an attempted suicide. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating his death.
