Willie Eanes

Willie Eanes, 84, was held at the Telford Unit, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Bowie County. According to KWTX, he was taken to the University of Texas Tyler Medical Center on April 14, 2020, with symptoms consistent with COVID-19, and tested positive the next day. He died on April 20, 2020, and the Texas Office of the Attorney General listed his death in its custodial death report. KWTX reported that he had underlying medical conditions.
