Willie Crayton
Willie Crayton, 60, was held at the Alexander City Community Based Facility and worked on a crew outside the facility. On the evening of Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the corrections van bringing the crew back from work left the road in Tallapoosa County and struck a tree. He died at the scene. The Alabama Department of Corrections said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
