William Sparrow
William Sparrow was executed in Orange County, North Carolina, on a Friday in late May 1820, under a sentence of the Superior Court. A strong guard conducted him to the place of execution at about half past twelve. The Richmond Enquirer described the execution as an example meant to deter similar offenses.
