Died in prison
William Quintero
William Quintero, 47, died after an attack in a recreation yard at Centinela State Prison in Imperial County on November 14, 2022. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, two other incarcerated men attacked him with hand-made weapons, and two weapons were recovered. He was airlifted to an outside hospital and pronounced dead that evening. The state is investigating the death as a homicide, and the Riverside County Coroner has not yet released an official cause of death.
