William Mondesi
William Mondesi, 34, died on August 14, 2026, after deputies found him unconscious in his cell at San Diego Central Jail, where he was held. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office said its Homicide Unit is investigating and that the Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death, which remain pending. The Sheriff's Office said it extended sympathies to the Mondesi family and assigned a Family Liaison Officer to support them.
