William Meharg
William Meharg was hanged at the Caldwell Parish prison in Louisiana on March 7, 1941, one of four men executed that day. The hangings were held at 30-minute intervals beginning at noon, with hundreds of people gathered outside and witnesses watching from the jail hallway. A 2015 FOX 8 report described these as the last judicial hangings in Louisiana.
