William Lumpkin
William Lumpkin, a former Augusta lawyer, died on August 17, 2021 while in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections. Department spokeswoman Joan Heath said he died of natural causes. UCLA Law Behind Bars records place his death at Telfair State Prison in Helena, Georgia, when he was 74.
