William K. Skillman, 70, a former president of the State Horticultural Society, is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons. He died on May 24, 1909, at the state prison in Trenton, New Jersey. The New-York Tribune reported that he was addicted to morphine and that his daily supply was reduced after he was brought to the prison.
