William David Jenkins
William David Jenkins, 53, of Hammond, died in his cell at the Hammond City Jail on November 13, 2019. According to a City of Hammond news release, officers began CPR during breakfast service until Acadian Ambulance arrived and pronounced him dead. Officials said no foul play was suspected and that the death appears to be a probable suicide, while the Hammond Police Department and the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office continue to investigate.
