William D. Shepherd
William D. Shepherd, 33, was held at Elmore Correctional Facility in Alabama. On February 8, 2015, around midday, he was stabbed in the prison yard by another man held there, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. He was pronounced dead less than 20 minutes later. The department has opened a full investigation into what led to the stabbing.
