William "Bill" Pawlyk Jr.
William "Bill" Pawlyk Jr. was a former Richland businessman and submarine officer. He died at age 80 on October 6, 2021, while held at Airway Heights Corrections Center near Spokane, Washington. His family's obituary says he died in his sleep from cancer and other complications. The family says that while at the prison he tutored people in math and small business management, supported the University Beyond Bars program, helped dozens of people earn GEDs, and led a veterans' group.
