William Ben Hensley III
William Ben Hensley III, 34, died on October 2, 2022, while held at Goose Creek Correctional Center near Wasilla, Alaska, where he had been in custody since September 1 awaiting trial. The Alaska Department of Corrections said the State Medical Examiner would determine the cause of death and that foul play was not suspected. An Alaska State Troopers investigation, reported by KTOO in February 2023, found that he covered his view with a sheet in a cell in the special management unit and died by suicide. That investigation found that about 43 minutes passed between guard checks before he was discovered.
