Wesley Kyle Gautney
Wesley Gautney, 41, was held at the Bibb County Jail in Macon, Georgia. He was found unresponsive in his cell just before 8 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, and was taken to Atrium Health Navicent, where he was treated for cardiac arrest and pronounced dead later that evening. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said he died by suicide. According to news reports, mental health staff from River Edge had cleared him to return to the cellblock earlier that day. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's office's Internal Affairs Division are investigating, and an autopsy was planned.
