His attorney said Walter Timothy Storey spent thousands of hours in a restorative justice program in prison, trying to help crime victims. In his final statement, he asked for peace, forgiveness and love. Missouri executed him by lethal injection with pentobarbital shortly after midnight on February 11, 2015, the first execution in the state that year. Prison officials said he was pronounced dead about nine minutes after the drug was administered. The US Supreme Court declined to halt the execution despite concerns about the state's secretive process for obtaining and using pentobarbital.
