Died in prison
Walter Brian Carter
Walter Carter, 40, died on January 16, 2021 at Goose Creek Correctional Center in Wasilla, Alaska, where he was held in the custody of the Alaska Department of Corrections. According to the Mat-Su Sentinel, staff found him unresponsive in his cell around 1:30 a.m. and could not revive him. The Alaska State Troopers said their investigation found he had inflicted a fatal injury on himself, and they classified the death as a suicide.
