Victor Manuel Rax
Victor Manuel Rax, 42, died on the night of Monday, April 28, 2014, in his cell at the Salt Lake County Jail, where he was being held. Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder said authorities believe he died by suicide by hanging, and a multi-agency investigation is continuing. The sheriff's office said staff had been monitoring unusual behavior they linked possibly to mental illness, and that he had been moved to a subacute mental health unit before being returned to the housing unit where he died.
