Victor Guido-Castro
Victor Guido-Castro, 42, of Salinas, was held at the Monterey County Jail when he was assaulted in a common area of a housing unit early on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Another person held at the jail has been accused of the assault, and the Monterey County Sheriff's Office said no weapons appear to have been involved. He was taken to Natividad Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office is conducting a criminal investigation and has asked its coroner's division to confirm the cause and manner of death.
