Victor Alfonso Reyna
Victor Alfonso Reyna was 28 years old. His family said he suffered from asthma, and his brother, Eduardo Gonzales, was notified of his death the night it happened. On Monday, March 4, 2019, Reyna was found unresponsive in his cell at the French Robertson Unit in Abilene and was pronounced dead at the prison infirmary shortly after, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. TDCJ said there were no signs of foul play and that the Office of Inspector General is investigating, while the preliminary cause of death was listed as unknown pending toxicology results.
