Vicente Rodriguez
Vicente Rodriguez, 59, died on August 3, 2020 while held at the El Paso County Jail in Texas. According to Sheriff Richard Wiles, he died of COVID-19, and officials described it as the first known COVID-19 death of a person held in any El Paso County detention facility. A Department of Public Health cluster report also counted his death as the first in the county's detention centers linked to COVID-19.
