Vanessa Estrada
Vanessa Estrada, 29, tested positive for COVID-19 while held at the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas, in January 2022. She was moved to a quarantine unit, and her condition worsened until she was taken to University Hospital on January 24. She died there on January 29, 2022. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said she had pre-existing tuberculosis, and the Bexar County Precinct 2 Constable's Office and the sheriff's internal units are investigating her death under the Sandra Bland Act.
