Name not reported

The Manitowoc Pilot reported in October 1881 that a second man was taken from a jail by a crowd and lynched, the same way as a first man. The paper gave no name for either man and no place or date for the killings. The item presented the lynching as justice carried out without a trial, a claim the source itself does not establish.
