Died in jail or a lockup
Name not reported
Four men held in an Oklahoma jail were taken out by a mob and hanged in April 1909, according to a Wausau Pilot report published April 27 of that year. The jail held them, and the mob took them from its custody and killed them. Their names, ages and the sheriff's or jailers' response to the mob are not given in the account, so each man is recorded here as one of the four.
