A 36-year-old man who had been held at the Ozaukee County Jail in Port Washington, Wisconsin, since Thursday, according to the sheriff's office, was found dead in a holding cell around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The sheriff's office said it is investigating the death. Under county policy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office now leads the investigation.
