A 33-year-old man died on June 19, 2018, at the Outagamie County Jail in Appleton, Wisconsin. Jail Lt. Brian Wirtz said he attempted suicide hours after being moved into the general population on June 17. He died two days later. The jail and another county agency are reviewing the death.
