A man died in June 2022 at Waupun Correctional Institution, a state prison in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said an autopsy found latex balloons containing a suspected mixture of cocaine and fentanyl, and that it believes they were brought in during a visit the day before his death and became compromised in his body. The sheriff's office lists drug toxicity as the cause of death and an overdose as the manner.
