According to the Mower County Transcript, a man held under guard near Texarkana, Arkansas, was taken from his guards by a mob on April 23, 1890, and riddled with bullets. The Kanabec County Times reported the same killing in similar terms. The mob took him from the custody of the guards who held him, and he was shot to death.
