A man held at the Van Cise-Simonet Detention Center in downtown Denver died in his cell on Monday, April 21, 2014, and was found at about 5:30 a.m. The sheriff, Gary Wilson, said he died by suicide. The Denver police and the medical examiner are investigating his death.
