A man held in a Kentucky jail was taken from the jail by a mob on the night of June 24, 1890, and hanged, according to a short Deseret Evening News dispatch published the next day. The dispatch does not say how the mob got in or whether jail staff resisted or handed him over. His name is garbled in the surviving text and cannot be read with confidence.
