A 49-year-old woman was held at the Summerville Annex of the Dorchester County Jail in Summerville, South Carolina, and died there on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Dorchester County deputies said a detention center employee found her hanging in her holding cell around 9 a.m., from a ligature she had made out of items she had taken into the cell. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was called in to investigate the death.
