A 21-year-old man was held at the Colleton County Jail in South Carolina, and was taken from there to Colleton County Medical Center, where he died on January 8, 2025. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office said he admitted to using illegal drugs while being examined by a jail nurse. His name has not been released, and the coroner will release it later.
