A man died on November 26, 2016, while held at Northern State Prison in Newark, New Jersey. A New Jersey Department of Corrections spokesman said he was found lifeless in his cell on Saturday evening and was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later. The department said the cause of death is under investigation and withheld his identity until his next of kin were notified.
