A person being held at the Catawba County Detention Center in North Carolina died on June 15, 2019. The Catawba County Sheriff's Office said the person collapsed after complaining of feeling ill. The sheriff's office has asked the State Bureau of Investigation to look into the death, and the person's name had not been released pending notification of family.
