A man whose name has not been released died at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on September 8, 2021. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a corrections officer found him on the floor of his cell during a visual check and that he had a medical episode. Police said he was handcuffed without incident and became unresponsive while medical staff checked on him, and he was pronounced dead at the facility. The Clark County Coroner's Office has said it will release his identity and the cause and manner of death.
