A man died in a fire at the town lock-up in Conway, Walsh County, North Dakota, according to a Fargo dispatch printed in The Washburn Leader on September 11, 1897. The dispatch says he burned to death in the lock-up and was the second man to die in the same fire. His name is not given in the account.
