The Wichita Eagle reported in June 1887 that a Seminole man was shot near the Seminole agency in Indian Territory, the second of two Seminole men put to death that way. According to the paper, the sheriff and a deputy carried out the shooting. The paper reported that he faced the firing party calmly.
