A masked mob of about seventy-five men forced its way into a jail at night and bound the night watchman. They went to the cells holding Black prisoners, and the jailer, who was asleep upstairs, did not stop them. Those taken from the cells were led outside and shot to death by the mob. The jail was where this person was held when the mob took them from their cell and killed them.
