A 46-year-old man died on February 7, 2018, while held at the Contra Costa County jail in California. Deputies delivering lunch found him unresponsive in a housing unit, according to the sheriff's office. Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said an initial investigation pointed to health-related causes, and sheriff's and district attorney's investigators are examining the death.
