The Vermont Department of Corrections reported the death of a person at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire on April 13, 2022. The person died in a hospice setting, and the department said the death was expected. According to the department, to its best knowledge no autopsy was conducted. The department completed its own investigation, while the Defender General's Office and Vermont State Police did not investigate because the death was expected and occurred out of state.
